I think that the Watch The Throne album with Jay-Z will get him back to the level of public acceptance he was at during Graduation. It’s annoying as a fan to see him struggle with his perception of his public acceptance because 1) I thought the “incident” was funny and 2) the evolution of his production has pushed hip-hop forward, and that’s not something you would get from any other radio-conventional hip-hop artist.

I hated V when they decided to put pop stars on their covers as opposed to models (remember the issues with Gwen Stefani and Demi Moore? I was absolutely disgusted, because both are manufactured has beens. Then I realized V magazine was trying to hit the mainstream, and as such, was not a super glossy made for me),
but this pop star/concept totally jives with me.
I love that exclusive fashion at large accepts Kanye West and supports him and his ventures. Even after Taylor Swift. Even after most mainstream America and dedicated critics alike drew a blank when they first heard 808s & Heartbreak. Even after making a great comeback, a great album (My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, one that dedicated critics loved, and has left mainstream America either cheering, dumbfounded, confused or angry.
This might be the first time I buy a magazine since KAWS went over i-D magazine back in 2008.

Sir Mikey Rocks (of The Cool Kids for those who don’t know) finishing up Special Edition Grand Master Deluxe at Dame Dash’s upstate crib.
When Curren$y rapped about this place, it sounded majestic, but not quite as majestic as this.
