Guess which one he went for.

I told Woody about the Jordan concept first (I did this because he is turning twenty three and my knowledge/care for basketball ends at 1996. And he can have another Jordan party when he’s 45. Also, I was mulling over LOUD design versus an illustrated Jordan jersey. Literally mulling), then showed him the formal script/serif poster as a “or maybe this would be funny” design. He then said he wanted a poster with Jordan from the free throw line, and his face on it somewhere. Done and done. #notmad

Also, I’m djing on a Saturday as opposed to a Sunday, so I guess I get to tell more white people I have heard of Wugazi, but no, I will never listen to it.

PBS | Off Book | Typography

Featuring Jonathan Hoefler and Tobias Frere-Jones, Typeface Designers
Paula Scher, Designer
Eddie Opara, Designer
Deroy Peraza and Julia Vakser, Designers

I enjoyed seeing what Eddie does with typography to make it unique, and how Deroy and Julia use typography as a partner in crime to get a visual message across. Paula Scher and Jonathan Hoefler and Tobias Frere-Jones were a joy to watch, as usual.

S Magazine relaunch with redesign. This spread seems to scream “Interview Magazine”, especially with the heavy handed “redesign” of Didot.
